Who Else Did NOT Roast a Turkey Today?

We love turkey and have it several times a year, but we decided to have flat iron steak today - yum!

OK, I feel unamerican, but we had Beef Stroganoff over Egg Noodles. My mother made it for us & it was delicious!

I will have to apologize to the Pilgrims later, I am sure.

Oh, but we did have pumpkin and apple pie, too. Does that make up for it~just a little?

I so got y'all beat on alternative grub for Thanksgiving

We had our family specialty: fried oysters from the gulf, oyster stew, baked potato, rolls, fruit salad. To die for...and so much more simple to cook than turkey.
