Who else got some 2013 chicks?!

Was only going to pick-up a couple chicks this year.....ended-up with 15. No longer allowed to go to the feed store unattended.

I was going to order from Murry McMurry w/ a friend but my niece have a batch that her 10 yr old daughter wanted to raise for me. (Her Mom talked her into giving them to me asap).
I wanted her silkies so her daughter sent me 1 black -Paris, 1 chipmunk-Chipper, 2 buff orpingtons Amber & Chocobow and 1 black one=Ravine that is Heinz 57 and barred rock. You should see the feathers on it's feet. But as a mother, I love them all! The snow is almost totally out of the aviary but there is still a large chuck of ice on the ground. They'll be moving to their summer home soon!
Along with 2 Pekin Ducks Skylar & Sammie I got as an Easter gift from my son (Tractor supply)

I ordered from efowl a few weeks back, how long did it take for them to be delivered? (very cute by the way!) :)
I ordred them as soon as they were able to be ordered, which was January 2nd. They gave me a shipping date of Feb 10, based on the hatch dates. They arrived promptly on Feb 11, well packaged and healthy. Did they give you an estimated shipment date?

We picked some up from the local tractor supply, 4 pullets, 2 xl cornish hens, and 2 rhode island red.

What do you have your feed in and what kind of bedding is in your box? We have ours in a box too for now but our chicks look younger than yours, they are much smaller at only one week.

I used pine shavings as bedding, and used a trough style metal feeder with an anti roost bar attached over the trough.

I just got my new chickies this morning and I'm just beside myself with excitement! Got 27, Salmon Favs, Mottled Houdans, Speckled Sussex, Anconas, Light Brahmas, And Rhode Island Reds. All arrived healthy and perky! Got them from McMurray and very happy so far!

This is my first time raising chicks. I had planned to get 6 chicks but ended up with 10 from a local seller. I also thought I picked out 4 black australorps and 6 silver laced wyandottes but it's looking like only 2 of them are australorps and the other two were just very dark wyandottes.

These pics are from their first outing.

My 13 7-week old week chicks are doing great! Purchased March 15th and 17th at Shipton's Big R. Looks like only one rooster so far, a Buff Orpington. Planning to put them out in the coop and run this Saturday. Cold-hardening them gently this week!
Here is my one Roo, a Buff Orpington in the middle, my boys named it Funny because everytime you pick it up it hikes its tail! We also have RIR's, Black Australorps, Grey Barred Rocks, and two Americanaus.
Finished coop and run and feeder, waiting for Saturday to put the flock out there.
