Oh no! How awful! I can't believe the post office lost themFinally got my babies.I'm really mad at the post office for losing them. Several arrived DOA and many others are not looking very good a lot of the girls won't even stand up.
I am now pumping them with water and petilyte every 30 minutes hoping to save them. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I called the hatchery, who is more than happy to replace them but they were really upset just like I am.![]()
a california white, an Americana, and a wellsummer. No names yet
We ended up going to Metcalf's and getting 10 more, 2 RIR, 2 buff Orpington, 3 "Araucana"(I think they are really just Easter Eggers) and 3 silver laced Wyandotte. This was the week of May 6th, they are doing great now and are SO fun to watch. We have 2 adult New Hampshire Reds and 12 adult black sex links as well. We are going to build a bigger coop/run so everyone can be under one roof eventually. I love the little ones personalities, and I am enjoying the guessing game of what they are going to look like when they grow up. They are supposed to all be female, keeping my fingers crossed!
