Who Else Is Fishing Today??

The fish were biting at the neighborhood pond(five minute walk, and it’s not frequently fished) the weeked before last but then they just stopped even though the weather had improved. I just found a gold mine of giant fish next to the highway in a spot that you wouldn’t think there were fish in but it’s a 20 minute drive.

Aren't those little goldmines just the best? I sneak around the South side of the Yankton SD dam and there's this one little spot with a shelf where Walleye hide.

I've never had trout, the ones I caught were too small to keep. I feel like I'm missing out lol

We’re going up to Florida for the weekend and Monday sand Tuesday so I’ll be doing a lot of fishing there but we are only doing carry ons so I can’t bring any good lures(only soft plastics without hooks) so I’ll mainly be relying on the tackle my grandpa has(only soft plastics)

Gosh I've never had blue crab and I was down there last fall, what's it taste like? I'm not a fan of shrimp so I've always assumed they were similar

Have you had shrimp boiled with the seasoning we use here? We use the same for blue crab. More the texture of firm fish and taste more like white flesh fish. Hard to discribe something you have eaten for more than 60 years. not as tough as shrimp.

I have not, I tried shrimp in Hawaii. I'll have to try it next time I'm down there.

No luck fishing they opened the dam gates. I'm going to try elsewhere tomorrow.
