Dang that Pike looks nice! I have only caught one of those, it was dying so I was too busy nursing it back into the water to weigh it. I know it was under the limit though. A very fun catch though! Do you get Muskies ever?

That was my first and only pike I've ever caught there very few musky here never have fished for them.

Musky and Sauger aren't common here either, I've never caught either one. My most common catches are White Bass and Gold Eyed Moonfish

Well…y’all remember me mentioning that I was visiting my grandparents in Florida and how my grandfather only had like a few soft plastics and that was it(he’d always just give me a bag of senkos and some flukes and a hook) well we arrived when it was dark and so I couldn’t go fishing so I went to go prepare the stuff for the next morning, and I found allllll of these

turns out he had more than I had thought, I remembered that he had mentioned vaguely once about how he had frequently gone to Canada pike and musky fishing. I was even more psyched when he told me I could have all of it. Then he took a second look and said “you didn’t find all of it” “that’s nothing” and proceeded to go get a MASSIVE tackle box filled with stuff and a baitcasting reel(it’s old and heavy duty and he said I could have it as well) and then he gave me 3 rods(no reels), 2 baitcasting and 1 two piece spinning rod. I can have alllllll of it. I’ll bring the reel on the plane and the rest will get mailed.

And this is where I found the small tackle boxes, I couldn’t get all of the stuff out,

so…yeah…I’m PSYCHED!!! He also vaguely mentioned something about another reel that I could have but they left for the night(we’re staying in their place while they stay with a relative)right after and he said he’d show me in the morning

Some of it is definitely giant gear for musky, pike, and walleye but there is some that will work for bass fishing
