3rd bass with light fading, gill hooked, bleeding, and far down shore from plyers, ran down got them and off he went

The bass are blowing up everywhere! Every minute! But my mom made me come back in! I caught this one in the last 5 minutes, it’s about a pound

Northeast corner of Nebraska, the particular spot where I got the crappie and white bass are at the Yankton dam in South Dakota, I fish on the Nebraska side, I think more fish gather in that particular area. I'm heading to Royal NE today, my Dad asked if I'd go with him to fish there.

have a lake i want to try and fish on.

for this lake we own like 7 acres of the shore line, neighbor who owns like the rest of the lakes shore line. told us he thinks there is fish in this lake, (pike, and maybe perch.) or has always thought there might be fish in this lake, which got me really interested in fishing there. (as we own some shoreline there) but also this land has been in my family for the past 100 years plus.

and for those 100 years not one person in my family has ever thought that there could be fish in this lake. (i thought it was alkaline water but turned out to be fresh)

I couldn't imagine owning a lake shoreline and not ever fishing it. I don't see how there wouldn't be fish in it.

I caught a(technically I caught 3 total) massive myan cichlids(new species for me, i originally thought they were peacock bass though)

All the ones after it were the same size and looked the same. I didn’t catch the big ones. While I was trying to catch a big one(it was hanging around the shore) I fasted out really far but just then I saw the big peacock(this one was an actual peacock bass) come back so I started reeling in quickly, a bass hit it, I kept going and then it hit it HARD! I fought with it for a minute or so. When I brought it on shore I realized just how big it was…

it tied with my oringinal pb! 4 pounds!

Then after a while of not catching anything at that pond I went to another one, caught some more and finished my day with a new pb of # of bass caught in a day of 7 bass! I used the lure on the other bass but on a little bass the lure(the one I caught my pb on) came off!! I was devastated, I didn’t catch and more fish but I was at another shore when I spotted something half floating in the water…MY LUCKY LURE!!!! I managed to grab it and it’s gonna be my new good luck charm. You can see where it got ripped off the hook by that stupid little dinky bass

so…I’d say I had a good day

I caught my pb stick today! It was a big palm frond! It faught hard but I got it in.
