Pah, suddenly I am... had a broody abandon a nest just as the guinea eggs she had started hatching. Poor wee things. Here's hoping I can get them back up to temp and hatched...

Day 19 and I arrived home to find a pip! They are peeping too, humidity got up to 70% so I had to open the window of the incubator a crack. Please cross fingers, legs or whatever for my bcm babies.

I have GCM and turkey eggs and had the abandoned guinea eggs suddenly... Fortunately they did for the most part hatch. Six healthy ones, two damaged by the hen and still in question and three died in shell from abandonment. Still not a bad salvage

Wow guineas get around fast LOL they're my first batch they're very cute and very interesting and it's no wonder they start out with racing stripes!!! Too cool.

I also had a partridge rock egg leftover from another hens nest (still there when all the others had hatched - laid by another hen late) hatch WITH THESE so he has company, which is kind of nifty.

I have one black copper zipping right now. No more pips, but there are three having parties in their eggs, they are rolling all around so hoping for pips today. We are on day 20 so hoping for at least a few more pips. Humity hanging between 55-62%. Thank goodness off from work today to watch the bator.

Well, one of my little EE banties hatched last night. 6 to go. I seem to be killing everything so I do not think anymore will hatch.

It is discouraging.

Last night I sent to Eggcartons.com for a new Hygrometer and a new incubator Thermometer.

I am going to get present hatches all done or killed and then start over, and NOT stagger hatches and try to do everything exactly right.

Perhaps Big Momma will do better with her 14 Serama eggs. I have not even candled them. I am going to keep my hands OFF!
