farrier! :
I just got a remote for my incubator. Now I can type here and stare at the temperature.
I still have to go look for humidity but I also have one incubator I need t turn by hand.
I managed to get the button quail eggs into the automatic turner after I broke 3 of them getting them unpacked...
If I turn them by hand they might not have much of a chance!
A remote?!!?
How many eggs did you set?
I set all the eggs I got... even the one that was pretty well smashed. Patched it up with nail polish. (I've tried wax before, but this one would need to be
dipped in wax, so I figured 'what the heck' and polished it up!)
It's just going to be - wait & see - for "those" shipped eggs.
I know what you mean with the quail eggs!
I dented one of the buttons trying to turn it right-side-up in the turner. Not too bad of a dent, but, they
are small.
I'm loving this new 'bator.
I set the thermostat 2 days before eggs arrived. Then I turned it off & waited. When the eggs came, I turned it on & added eggs.
Day 3 (for the peas) and temp hasn't fluctuated even .1 degree!
top of bator is 99.5 and bottom of bator (hatcher tray) is 99.3.
All I have to do is make sure the water tray isn't empty.
This is easy!!
