I just keep thinking that I need to start something like a Super Bowl pool at work. Winner gets a dozen eggs! It might give me something to think of other than eggs.​

Nope, no eggs today. I think I am going to stop looking for them. Yeppers, not going out to the coop anymore, not at 6, not at 8, not at 6 when I get back home, not at 8 when I close up the coop, not at 10 when I am getting ready for bed, not at 2 when I wake up to use the restroom. Nope, not looking anymore......

My kids have checked every hour on the hour today - the one we are waiting on has been in and out of the nest box - but still no eggs. She is just teasing us!

Ive heard that they can possibly lay at 14 weeks mine are 17 weeks!

two of my 14 weekers almost overnight sprouted a comb and wattles and have been judged hens by the board so maybe I will get eggs soon. Probably too soon! Haven't noticed any squatting although they are all rather skittish. Eep! I check the egg box even though it's way too early. A watched hen never lays so I should stop!

Isn't it bad for them to start laying early?

mine 18 weeks and 3 days and no eggs they have full combs and i hear them sing now and then but nope no eggs urg i am waiting and waiting

maybe tomorrow or maybe two weeks from now

I looked at 6 this morning, again at 7 this evening. I cannot wait....
