This was my very first lav orp: Cuddles. She was amazing and loved attention from everyone. She was the 1st chicken to enjoy traveling to schools. She would literally run into the crate knowing she was headed to a classroom where she'd get to show off. (Most chickens prefer to stay home and are nervous around strangers.)

BTW- My daughter also taught a few Appenzeller Spitzhaubens how to land on her arm. Warning: DO NOT attempt to teach a big 10-14lb orpington how to fly up onto you. It could get rather dangerous.

This was our all time fav rooster. He was a big boy! (Orpington, of course. They are the BEST roosters)

I once had a Buff orp that was my all time favorite hen. She was such a sweet thing, and she came from the first batch of chickens I ever had. Sadly, I don't have any pics of her. She was my introduction to orps, and I love them. I currently have a bunch of young orpington pullets that I will get some pics of when I have the time...
I love the idea of this thread!

I have 6 buff orphingtons and 2 rhode island reds. the Rhode island red rules the roost. They were rescue chickens and the bluffs are mellow , each have their own personalities.
