Who else plays an instrument?

Where do I begin? I'm a music education major who has to learn all of the instruments. Before I became a music ed major I was primarily a vocalist who could play trombone, piano and organ. Now I play recorder, trumpet, (french) horn, euphonium, standard concert percussion, and guitar. This coming semester I am taking a woodwinds class and a strings class, so I will be finishing up learning the rest of the instruments in the next few months.

I was a violinist in the San Diego Youth Symphonic Orchestra for three years. I don't read piano music, but compose my own music on the piano and over the last ten years have become fairly adept at *faking* it. I play lead guitar (a fairly natural progression from violin) and some rhythm guitar as well as a little finger and flat picking. I'm working on teaching myself cello right now -- it's a lot easier than violin, I'll tell you that.

Oh, and I sing a little.

I can make noise on the harmonica. I think the dogs like it, they seem to sing along with me

. Actually, my daughter who is a professional bassoonist, says it doesn't sound that bad, but then she likes to be fed. I figure it keeps the neighbors from becoming to friendly.

Hey, I play the bassoon! It is awesome! I am one of about 5 bassoon players in my school (about 750 people), but since our band is divided by grade, I am one of two bassoonists in my band. Go bassoons!!!!!!

I also sort of play cello--I played for a year and then switched over to bassoon because my cello teacher was really weird. Partly.

In high school, I was a darn good tuba/sousaphone player. Now, I play guitar and bass. I'm supposed to be in a punk rock band, but I started a second shift job in April and have been very busy ever since.
