Who else thinks we've all gone mad?

I AM NOT MAD! When I get the snide comments/looks I just look them dead in the eye and say "Chickens are people too". Besides when the world ends I will have companions, fried chicken and eggs.

Um, well I have to say, you have a good point Leggin, we aren't mad, we're normal its the OTHER people who are crazy!!

I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy poultry more than any other animal I have ever had, and the perfect number is around 20. More than 20 and I get tired doing all the chores. Less than 20 and I feel like I can almost hear crickets chirping in the chicken yard.

We are really fortunate to have such a hobby where we can have as many chickens as we want within reason (reason being the feed bill and the fencing bill, and other restrictions)!

Imagine having 20 horses!! Or 20 dogs!! Yet we can enjoy the personalities of 20 different chickens- different colors and breeds if desired, without ramifications that are too serious. Yes we are all nuts over chickens!
