Who here HATES their job???

I linked over to this thread.
Funny thing, I would rail on my past boss but I think he might be a member here.

I worked at a kennel when I was 16. The woman that I work for was horrible to the dogs and the people that worked for her, even her own granddaughter. I will never, ever go work for her again. I was supposed to be caring for dogs, not doing her yard work. I think I learned more about landscaping those three months than I wanted to. She was just too much for my 16 year old mind to take. Figures I can't get a job because of her now. Five years later.

I don't really hate my job but I don't love it. I wish I could just fid something I love to do... Here's hoping I win the lotto so I can have my own little hobby farm. But till then, nose to the grind stone

I took a 40k pay-cut because of a bad economy.. And I couldn't be happier. I found a job I love, I work 5 minutes from home, and like the folks I work with. I no longer have a 200/week gasoline tab, more like a 40 every other week... Worth about 4-5 bucks an hour there alone!

I have always moved up in any job I had, usually a lot quicker than other long time employees-not the best way to make on the job friends at first, but they all quickly learned that I would never ask them to do something I wouldn't do myself or treat them like it was their first day on the job. (just so you can see I am not a horrible employee)

I have only had one job that I walked away from, I think I gave them a days notice......

I worked at a restaurant (English themed), how they passed a health inspection was only due to the families long standing friendships with the inspector. They would thaw/marinate half chickens on a tray set ON THE FLOOR under the grill. Once I noticed a chicken breast had the chef's boot print on it and went to throw it in the trash, the owner screamed at me at put more plum sauce on it.............ewwwww And then there were the rats, mice and us waitresses soaking wet from hand washing the dishes.

The owner would collect ALL the tips, she put ALL the change in to "her" jar, after all she would seat them (the place was never ever more than half full) Then she would decide what she thought we were worth that day and make sure the cook got the biggest share of the tips. Not sure I ever came more with more than $10-15 for a shift. She would follow me in to the bathroom, in case I was stealing TP or taking too long.

And her hubby would wait til she left and send me on "bend over" duty. To get on my hands and knees, so he could take a good look up my way too short skirt and clean the walls under the booths. His wife would catch him, so she would dock my tips even more.

I was a starving student, often only eating when I worked-and then it was usually a cup of soup and half a sandwich, I hated every second I had to work there. And was walking on air when a former restaurant manager/boss called with a new job for me on Monday. She had answered the phone...lol

There was no sweeter word than as I hung up, "tomorrow is my last day"

They lost that restaurant and the rest of the family restaurants.........and boy did they deserve it! This was of course pre-sexual harassment laws, too bad cause I would have loved to sue for that!

Super awesome update! I had a really REALLY bad fit of PMS and quit. Gave that boss the what for. I've been gOne for a week now and can't even describe the weight that's been lifted off my shoulders. Used my last check to pay my bills until august. RELIEF!!!

The boyfriend is REALLY enjoying the ultra clean house, homecooked meals everyday when he gets home from work, and most importantly, getting to stay up as late as he wants to play loud music!

He is enjoyin it so much he may let me do this permanently, lol. Someday that boys gonna make me a mighty fine housewife
