Who here is NOT on FB?

I started an account under an alias but they recognized me so I closed it out. Now I hate the fact that anyone can post anything about you and THERE IT IS for everyone to see. People who are not a part of my life. Though I really don't see much difference here I guess. Is it different here? Your all strangers right. Well some just are strange, but you know what I mean. Plus if you google your sign in name from here you can see what ever you posted on Yahoo.

Anyhow I barely have time for here let alone there. I've got family on FB but we don't have much in common and quite frankly I don't care to read trivial crap about how they just lost the "farm".

On the other hand you might find a long lost relative right? Of course you also might be found by some long avoided jilted lover too. Which is why I don't have a FB page. There are so many of them you know.

Anyhow I just don't want more of my personal life posted out there. Not to mention the pictures of this old geezer. Lord have mercy could just scare the bejeezus out of some old girl friend. Why do people always say, "Not to mention" and then do mention it?

And why do people drop in when it says "is NOT on FB" to say that they do have a FB page, but ?

So I did for a short time, but I don't now. Some things should just remain private, but others can't just keep it to themselves.

Used to love fb for the games when you could do them in 30 minutes or less , then it got to where it took too long to do them gave it up. reason #2 for giving it up got real tired of people ( bosses ) telling me what I should or should not post , or where DH was working at now keeping up on my private life so now no longer use it. When I actually read my contract for where I work they have the ability to monitor fb & twitter for your info & use it. Don't care for that, you should be able to say what you wish, do as you wish & have your life as long as it does not affect your job. Crock of baloney.
It used to be real handy to keep up with family members as well so now back to the phone. Again don't like work folk asking about family functions. NONE OF THEIR BUISNESS. They were monitoring not only my account but DH as well. Now he doesn't use it either. They may think they have the right to monitor my account but in no way have the right to monitor his !!
Never had twitter never saw the need.

My ID kept getting stolen until I closed my FB account. Coincidence? No, I noticed the info they were getting was all from FB.

I'm not on FB either. Most of my friends have it and a bunch keep telling me, "Hey, you should really get FB!" or "Are you on FB?" I get tired of it and keep having to answer "No." I don't see the point of it myself. If I need to communicate with my friends I email.

The one bad thing is one of my friends moved to VA last year and I never get answers to my emails. My other friend and I have been discussing it a lot lately because we are both frustrated that she doesn't really communicate at all. But she said that she found out that the best way to get an answer from her is through FB. I guess that means I won't be communicating with her.

Ironically, I spent 3 days at her house this past spring and every day she checked her email.

I think FB tends to become too obsessive, and people give out WAAYYYY too much info on there. While looking around with my friend (second one

) we saw people's email addresses, home and cell phone numbers, etc.

Another thing I don't care for is everyone uploads pictures to their FB accounts and then shares them with others that way -- a few times I've gotten "invites" to go see some and I just plain old can't. It bothers me.

No facebook

No twitter

Sure seems like a lot of problems develope because somebody said or did something on facebook, and I don't need no help having problems.

Used to be, and now I'm not.

Frankly, I don't give a rats bum what everyone in the world is doing.
