Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Hey Ace

Maybe you didn't miscalculate afterall.

What happened to all the other icons? I'm missing my hopping chicken, my jumping hen etc., ????

That's frustrating when they say "16-18 days"... well, which is it?!? When do I stop turning?

I guess I assume 16, and stop turning at 13-14... as if I need any more stress.
My Bobwhite hasn't hatched yet

and no pips on the 4 Red Dorkings that were due today. My temps have been slightly low, so perhaps tomorrow...

Yup, it's not fun trying to figure out which day to stop turning with these eggs. I am waiting on the mixed and a few possible purebred chickens I have in the hatcher and was not expecting to find a pip in the quail eggs.

I ended up with 13 viable eggs. I have 5 chicks now and another pipped!! Too cute, I am in love.

I have a question...do I dip their beaks in water right away when I put them in the brooder, like I did with my shipped chicks? Also, when should they start eating?

Finally, day 20!!!One silkie had pipped when I came in from work(6:30 am). I've been up since 1 pm, clucking and peeping back to him, but he hasn't made alot of headway yet. Hopefully, when I get home in the morning, I will have at least one hatchling and 20 more pips.:|
