Day 11 with 53 eggs.

Thanks Jean, I'd heard the isa's male were brown, didn't know if that ment the dad or the chick would be white (wondered if it's sexlink), it'd be an interesting trial though, I may have to look into getting some hens and roos, of those breeds too, LOL.
I had pips last night, but their not due til Sat. This bator is doing an eggcellent job, but my hatches have all been a couple days early, must be my temps are a tad high. I guess I don't mind, it doesn't seem to be affecting the hatch in any other way, and since I'm midway through other settings, i don't want to change it

I had some Pekins & Welsh Harlequin ducks and the Royal Palm turkeys pipped last night. I opened to take them out of the turner and add water and low and behold, they were cracked and talkin'. I'm SO excited about the RP's. They belong to my DD, but since i've done all the work, i think i'll lay claim to a couple, LOL.

This is my first time incubating in a couple years and this time I got the automatic turner. I had gotten a dozen golden comet eggs and none of them formed, was alittle disappointed over this since I like the comets but oh well. I also had a dozen eggs that are standard and mixed and I have 5 chicks that hatched yesterday and today. All 5 are yellow so not sure what they are but hoping buff orpingtons.

I also have a dozen cuckoo maran eggs in right now and they are due to come out next week and then I'm getting eggs off of here and will have 2 dozen ready to go in soon. Oh yeah and I have some of my mille fluer eggs in the bator as well. Can't wait! My poor fiancee isn't real excited about it as I have like 20 chickens in the coop, 13 in the garage that aren't old enough to go out, 5 in the house now and more coming. Yep I'm addicted....again.

hi everyone

just joined this forum and am waiting for my very 1st hatch from 1st broody. Keeping chickens for 6 mths and i am very excited 4 new arrivals . I am on day 19 and one has pipped already. Five more to go woohoo

Stacey:lol:

I now have THREE chicks and two eggs - but no more pips on those two eggs. Momma Hen is still sitting on them, though - there's still time! They weren't due out until today, so there's still hope!

I have been so busy since I begged for eggs that I haven't had time to post. I put 17 eggs in the 'bator on tues and there are 6 very wet Austrolorpes and another imminent. The first at noon and the rest staggard after. Still waiting ti see my few silkie and frizzled babies.... some have pipped , so it could be shortly. Can't wait to show a pi8c.
