Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I have 48 eggs in the bator that I brought back on my way home from vacation. Some Black Orps/BlueOrps/Buff Orps/RIR's and Yokohamas. I am not keepiing the Yoko if they hatch. I don't need another breed and although they are beautiful longtailed things, they just don't interest me. I will be candling tonite and see who makes the first round

I opened them and they were fully developed. I wish I knew what happened. Good Luck to you all.

I came home from work and have 2 pips so far out of 9 BO eggs. I honestly didn't expect anything until tomorrow. So running to do barn chores as quickly as possibly and coming in to stare into the bator. zi did have the foresight to pick Brooder #5 at Wal Mart today......

"The 2nd bator has 29 chicken/duck eggs in it too, and was supposed to have more from a trade I had worked out with another person here, but the eggs never arrived. So the ones that are in there will be it I guess..they're on day 3, I guess (if I put them in on Thursday at 6:30 pm-is it day 2 or 3 now?) If those other eggs arrive on Monday, what should I do? Isn't it too late to add them to the 2nd bator? It has my favorite Sultan eggs in it along with some guinea eggs and a few others."

Monday update-well the eggs arrived today- my phone # hadn't been written on the box, so the PO never called me and they delivered the box and just left it on my front porch- cold and rainy today. Ugh! I've PMd the person who sent them to me, but they haven't signed on in days...the box was sent out days later than they told me, and I don't know which eggs are the guinea eggs . This only matters as they have to incubate a week longer than the chicken eggs. Also they'll all go in the 2nd bator 3-4 days later than the first batch. I can try to handle it, b/c my 1st bator will be empty by time the first eggs have to go in a hatcher...then the 2nd bunch of eggs can go in the hatcher days after the first ones. I'm going to be so confused though, but I don't want to toss these eggs. Can someone post a photo of guinea eggs? Also is a moderator able to email a member if they don't post their email for us to see? I just can't seem to get them to answer my PMS and questions....Only worried and confused here-not upset.

Lisa, I haven't taken any pics of my guinea eggs but can for you if you still need them? They are small and kind of pointy on one end. Brown. Let me know if you still need a pic.

Hope you have a great hatch, Bantygranny

ok- then I know which ones they are. I have 6 small brown pointy eggs-sort of tear drop shaped.

I also was supposed to have a Buff Orp egg-there is 1 large brown egg. Is that the BO egg? and lastly, there was supposed to be 7 Ameraucauna eggs-there are 4 blue/green eggs and 2 tinted/white eggs. Do Amer. lay tinted white eggs?
I jut wish I could 'talk' to the person who sent them. They seem to have disappeared.
Thanks so much

I just finished taking pics of the guinea eggs and downsized them on my computer but still have to go through photobucket before I can post them for you, but yes, you got them right, tear drop shaped, small and brown. The one large brown is the buff orp. bluish green are the EE's. Sorry, for what you are going through. Either there is a lesson learned here or there is something wrong on the other end.

Well Ms. Pris, I lost my whole silkie hatch this week, but I am waiting on a few RIR that my neighbor gave to me.

I didn't see any pips last time I looked, I'll check again in a little bit. For some reason this Incubator flunctuates a lot. I just put new silkie eggs in an incubator too. I'm hoping to have better luck next time.
