Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Hi everyone, we've got a mix of about 70 eggs we're waiting on. We have Rouens, African/Tolouse geese, Fawn runners, Dark Cornish, Buff Orps, and a special Back Yard Broiler blend of my own....Dk Cornish/New Hamp Red/White Jersey Giant, Peacock, and soon to be added.....Guinea hens!!
Best of luck to all of you and your hatchlings
We'll keep you posted form Connecticut .

Turkey overload!!!!!!

Well it appears the last batch where the Black Spanish Turkeys didn't do well was something we didn't have quite right. There are 6 in the drying bater and 3 more pipped n zippin in the egg bater. I had to move the ones that hatched out, they were wrecking the place and tumbling eggs around. They are quite healthy and active.
Were quite relieved these are doing well.
Now to get the brooding room finished and get the 18 turkeys, 5 geese and 2 chickens out of the living room LoL
If the weather would just cooperate. Grrrr.....

Best to all others pipping,
David & Ann

Well, I'm at it again, and probably will be until the end of June. One lone Bobwhite egg (the other died) in the hatcher being watched like a hawk until it pips. 3 Red Dorking eggs in the same boat - any time now. 2 Silver Grey Dorkings in the hatcher next week. 100+ Coturnix eggs arriving Thursday, 18 more Red Dorkings arriving Friday. A few more Bobwhites in the mix, then a double shipment of Silver Grey Dorkings and Mille Fleur d'Uccles (the Millies are from Peeps7!

) coming my way in two weeks. Possibly one more batch of Red Dorkings next week if my bid isn't outbid

I can think of worst things to be addicted to!

Hey Ace... how'd your batch of quail finally finish up?

I just got home from work and I had 3 chicks flopping around the bator, the first egg pipped had zipped but not fully hatched, I watched for awhile and realized the chick was drying out inside the egg and seemed exhausted. So I made the decision to help. It didn't take much effort to move the top part of the egg and get the chick out, it is breathing better now too. I will be keeping an eye on it to make sure it is ok. My instincts told me to help or lose it. It seemed to be balled up in a weird position inside and honestly I don't think it could have hatched all the way without me.
I have another pip as well so that would make 5. Am hoping that the other 4 will pip but if I get 5 healthy I can live with that.

tomorrow is day 18. I will be removing my 4 chicken eggs from the incubator with the turner, into the other one. I then have 38 guinea eggs on day 18. I can't wait till they hit day 26 and I can remove them from the turner.

will keep you updated.

So far I've got 16 hatched. 9 delewares, 3 seramas, 4 mutts I hatched for my grandmother. It looks like seven more are pipping. Hopefully by night the others will be out.

I'm seriously tweaked out right now... I discovered a little bit ago that the cord for my LG had been unplugged, and my quail eggs were at 70°F ... don't know how long, either.

Due to hatch tomorrow. I don't know if I should hold my breath or not?
