it was a 3 pack for $50. ill still have money for that lol
we've seen the coyotes. this would be to scare them or alert us so we can shoot themThey're useless, that's why @aart was saying send them back. An extra $50 on the run is money better spent. Even $50 on trail cameras would be better, if you want to see what's coming around your run, while your sleeping.
i have thought about doing that. when we built our first coop (kinda just put together nothing fancy) it was a walk in and we make a flip up door. we never got around to a mechanical one. the new coop is a renovated shed that has sliding doors and is the one we are putting the run on.So hubby's plan wouldn't fit, is that right? Then you have to do what you have to do to make your plan work. Have you considered an automatic pop door to let the chickens out at a set time in the morning so they are not out too early? I'm sure your plan will work fine. Good luck!
It won't scare them(for long) nor alert you(they just blink all the time).we've seen the coyotes. this would be to scare them or alert us so we can shoot them
i think the pack i bought had an alarm sound. yep. just looked it up. 129 decibelsIt won't scare them(for long) nor alert you(they just blink all the time).
yes. thank you for agreeing with me lol. we will do thatI didn't like the greenhouse idea. The cost to make something that size predator proof would be staggering. The dog run was the right choice, and it's easy to extend it a little to give the birds more room. The one thing I'd do is add vertical supports to the peak to help take the snow load.
