I guess to a certain extent I am. Dh and I had a pretty good feeling it was going to be a SUPER snowy winter this year, based on the # of spiders all summer, and saw a wooly bear caterpillar with no black.
But can't say I believe the whippoorwill one. When I was little we had one that lived outside our bedroom, in a little patch of brush. Called every night for years, it seems. No one ever died. And dh and I had one about 7 years ago. No-one died then, either. Actually, I LOVE their call, and haven't heard it for a long, long time. I miss it.
I think black cats are good luck! Any day I see an animal, no matter what kind, I feel blessed. Besides, I have 2 black ones of my own. Must be the witch in me.
I have walked under ladders, but confess to being creeped out about it. And I open umbrellas JUST OUTSIDE the door.. mostly because it can be a pain turning them to fit THROUGH. I remember, though, we once went in someone's house with an umbrella open and she freaked. My mother had to explain why to me.. LOL!
I DO firmly believe in the fact that SOME wishes come true, if you want it badly enough.. which prevents me from wanting people injured or dead no matter HOW mad I am at them. And I do knock wood.. or just don't say something, if I don't want to ruin good luck.
I've never found a four leaf clover.. although I've looked!!
