Who is the noisiest in your flock?

My RIR follows me around nagging- she sounds like one of those plastic horns you get at sporting events. I swear she is louder than the rooster!

My Barred Rock is the loudest with normal vocalizations. She is the one complaining in the coop in the morning before I let them out and she follows me around "talking" to me when I'm in the yard. The loudest with their egg songs are our Golden Sex Link and one of our SLWs. But reading this thread has me worried. My adult chickens are noisy enough that I worry about the neighbors complaining and I have three 15 week old Speckled Sussex that are just starting to get vocal. I think that I'm in trouble when they start to lay! They already sound like they are screaming! It's a good thing that they are so beautiful!

My barred rock, Dixie squawks for attention when ever we are out. She likes to talk, and as soon as we are halfway to the coop, you can hear her bawking away XD

We rescued an ancona a few months back, and she is -constantly- making noise. She and the ancona chicks are the only ones who make this particular verbalization, and they all do it a fair bit, but she never stops.

Our loudest is definitely our RIR though, she is the head of the flock, and when she lays an egg she acts like she's birthing a hippo. She's the only one who gets the rooster going too, and they sing back and forth for almost an hour some days. She also learned from her broody sisters that spreading your wings out and growling means you get your way. She has no interest in chicks though.

Maybe I should try this with my husband and see if I get my new coop built faster!

Used to be my Wellies, but I discovered this weekend that one of the 18 mo Gold-laced Wyandottes now holds the screaming record. Good God, you could hear her from the highway.
