I am sure you will hatch something. My still air LG is always between 99 - 104 and I think they are growing fine, we'll see in about a week. Chickens are suvivors by nature.

I think I am hooked on chickens......... no, I can stop any time I want. Just one more time............ oh yeah, Thats the stuff........................

IF they make it to hatching my first ones will start around the 15th.

:fl:fl Everything good to go so far.

I went ahead and took a peek at my eggs tonight. 14 of 16 americaunas are going strong so no change there from my power outage temp fun last week. My marans eggs are not doing as well. Looks like I am down to 8 of 15. Can't wait till next week!
I did have 2 RIR and 1 BSL hatch out under my two broody bantys that are sharing a nest and 12 eggs this past weekend. Two more hatched today and it looks like four more are pipped! I also have a mallard sitting on 8 eggs that should start hatching this coming week.
Starting to look like I am going to be in a chick-rich enviroment very soon!

6 days to go and then it is the 15th. I think mine may hatch on the 14th, or the 16th or the 17th, if they hatch at all. My temp has been all screwed up since the spike. This morning it was down to 96. I am wondering if it has to do with the room they are in and the heat lamp being in there and the warmth of the house, etc. I guess it is okay for them to cool down once in awhile, but if they don't hatch, I can only blame myself this time.

One of my hens hatched one yesterday, but due to pulling all the straw out of the box, she smashed it.

I guess I can say I am doing better than they are.

You can believe my fingers are crossed now.

Guess I will candle one last time, tonight, just to see how everyone is doing and see if there is still life inside.

I am going to candle tomorrow when I put them in the hatcher. That will be the last time to see them before they come out to see the world.

4 days to go

I candled last night and I still see movement, but air sacs are huge which worries me. So prayers are going. I think I only have 1 or 2 Jersey Giants with movement and maybe 2 Andalusians, the other shipped eggs I could not tell (4 of them, 2 each) but no smell so the are still in.

I moved the eggs getting ready to hatch to the back of the incubator so I can quickly roll the others. So the final count down has started.

New eggs went in the other day, they are Guinea eggs. I could not find my Guineas nest, since they roam from one end of town to the other, so my friend gave me some eggs (2 were fresh, 17 refrigerated and 1 refrigerated bantie egg that looks like a conehead). Well I candled them last night and the bantie is fertile and I had 10 fertile Guinea.

Luck CB! Mine are just about where they should be and should also go here in the next couple of days. Cannot find my candling flashlight so I had to make due with another. All I can tell now are the air cells are about right.

Day 18 for me. The turner is coming out right now due to a little trouble with my duck eggs out in the barn. My wife went to check on the ducks because they were all pipped last night and noticed that ants were going into the openings. She called me all flustered and I had her go ahead and take the eggs in to hatch in the bator. She said that mamma duck is NOT happy.
On another note, all of my RIR and BSL eggs that were sitting under my two broody bantys hatched over the weekend and are doing great!
Coming down to the wire on my shipped eggs. I wish I could afford to take the next few days off to watch them. Good luck all!
