Who is with me?

I have 1 that made it and a couple more JG eggs in the incubator. The JG is the white with bluish tint near the top of the picture (right below the top chick on the left). 1 is better than none. The BA is in between the 2 black chicks (I think). I will get better pic's after I am sure they are out of harms way. Right now they are in the sleep mode.

I just went and checked on my little guys. The 2 that had pipped were getting shrink wrapped. I helped one out. But had to quit on the other one because I saw blood. Wrapped egg in paper towel to keep damp.

I just hope he ones that haven't pipped are still ok. I have 1 serama egg that I desperately hope hatches.

I keep telling myself I was not going to open the bator until all eggies hatch.... but that plan went out the window.

I owe pics but Pogo - the blue ee, is not well. No wonder she needed help, she has a hip issue. But she's really beginning to give it a try so I'll hang with her yet. I thought she was simply spraddled until I got a good look at it. It hurts her. She won't put much weight on it - hence Pogo. She hops. I have been supplementing feedings because it's hard for her to wrestle past the poults to the food and water, she's perked up considerable and strikes at the syringe (electrolytes, yolk and game starter) now MORE MORE.

So I'm not going to trouble them yet with pictures but gosh you have to love babies, chicks and poults. The little dark EE is now Beetle, the little girl one - she's barred and that dot is near neon, hasn't earned a name yet, lol perhap Neo. I may have to splint her hip to move it in but she is gradually using it a tad more...

2 chickies are out. 1 is a little yellow cochin and is doing GREAT. The other is black and yellow.... she still had some yolk that hadn't absorbed. I put a warm face cloth over her and she is resting. I have every belief that the yolk will absord and she will be a happy, healthy chickie. I may name them buzz and butter

No more pips as of yet. By opening the bator, I may have cause detrimental damage to the remaining chickie babies.

but I couldn't let the 2 pips suffocate.

As I said in another post, LOTS of very loud peeping but no pips that I can see yet. I keep taking the flashlight and looking into the window, lol, as does my daughter.

Are the ones that hatched the ones you helped? If so, I would set up your light and check one quickly. If the air sac is is Huge and looks like an arch in there, they are all being shrink wrapped (from a bad experience).

Congrats on the hatched 2.

Have faith in yourself when helping, but never break the membrane.

My next hatch is due in 7 to 8 days, 2 JG and about 10 of my own and 1 lonely dinky egg that was mixed in with a bunch of Guinea eggs my hay guy gave me. I think the egg is a bantie, but he said he does not have banties and has never seen one like it. I guess it could be a first egg (mystery). I guess what it is will be know soon, just hope it is chicken so I do not have to try hand feeding, poor baby would end up dying, because I would have no clue what to do.
