Who is with me?

Well, hopefully everyone will be all right come morning.

Itsy is not seeming well, but hanging in there. I have placed her back in the incubator. Maybe I should have left her alone, she has not even opened her eyes. Her not making it may have been for the best. I know, at least I tried and if I had not tried, I would have regretted it. Why was it her egg I noticed? Here I thought I was getting a sign.

As I stated, maybe come morning she will be all right. I will keep checking on her throughout the night.

She is adorable, gray body, black around the neck and red on her face, cute little thing.

I hope Itsy is doing better.

When I checked on the babies this morning, Google and Yahoo and running all over the place.

Frilly has absorbed her yolk but is still laying down. She is kicking her feet like she is trying to get up so I think that is a good sign.

The little guy that pipped at the wrong end is still hanging in there. I haven't tried to "HELP" anymore. He's still breathing and I can see that he is wiggling a little bit too. If he hasn't don't anything by the time I get home tonight, I may try to help a little bit more. Just a little bit.

I am getting serama eggs today.

Another BYCer (Missouri Chick) has some and she doesn't live far from me (less than 30 minutes) so I am going to either swing by her house or meet her afterwork.

I am still going to let the eggs sit a couple of days before I stick 'em in the bator. We are going on vacation the 2nd week of June and I can't have eggs hatching while I am gone.

So I figure if I hold them out until maybe Wednesday before I put them in, I should have it timed just right! I can move eggs to hatcher when we get back from vacation. I also have a couple bantie EEs that I will put in with the seramas.

Putting Itsy back in the incubator worked. She was moving around better before I went to bed and perky when I got up.

So she is now back with her hatched buddies.

I had all but 1 egg pipped by bed time. This morning 2 were out and I think there are 6 left, but they still have a day to go so no rush.

The wrong end baby is getting common around here, I usually have 1 or 2 in a batch.

I peeled back just enough shell/membrane so he could breathe. I put him back in bator and am hoping for the best.

What do you do with your upside down babies?

I have never had 1 be able to pip the shell. I always seem to find out it was backward when I open them to see what went wrong. Even in my rescue hatch I had one. I ended up opening both ends of the egg

because I saw movement in the air sac end, but it was from the baby's leg. Once I realized that I had to open the other end. No the baby did not make it then either.

Now if I did have one pip on the wrong end, what I would do is tap lightly on the shell in a circle, just enough to crack it (leaving shell on) and kind of give the little guy an easier shell to get out of. Now if he was supposed to already hatch, I would peel the shell off of the end and keep the rest soft in hopes that would help him. It all just depended on how many days before he was due.

Anyone have eggs due to hatch on June 1st? I candled all of mine last night, and out of 18 eggs all three BO eggs weren't developing, and on SF egg that I accidentally dropped stopped developing. The other 14 eggs all had veins and most had swimmers!!

Yesterday was actually day 21. So if he hasn't done anything by the time I get home, I will do an egg-section on him, or at least help him by cracking the shell.

Well, little splash JG passed away this morning. I saw it coming, but as always, hoped for the turn around.

As for the 2 blue that hatched yesterday, so far so good. Itsy is also doing well, along with the little mixed chick.

Eventually, I will try the JG again, probably next year since they take 6 months to get body fat.

4 more on the way.

Also my 30 eggs should be here tomorrow, so I hope these 4 babies hurry up and hatch. That way I can candle my other eggs and get out the bad to make plenty of room.

I can not WAIT to get home. This day is taking forever!!!! I want to go home and check on Frilly and upside down baby. I was going to name it HOPE as in I hope he makes it.... but maybe BOB would be a better name (it's the same frontwards and backwards). Any other suggestions for names for my upside down baby?

Hope is good for the girl, Bob for a boy. Freedom if it makes it out alive.

Okay, bad joke.

I am hoping this other small egg hatches so Itsy is not the only tiny one. The other egg is one of mine and was bigger than Itsy, but smaller than the others. I guess it is just wait and see.

Still waiting.
