Who names their chickens?

People don’t name their chickens? I absolutely do!

yes i keep em for pets, after my vacation i need to get more chicks so Eclipse doesnt start thinking things like
What if there is no chicks in these eggs? What if my insticnt to lay on these eggs if a lie and Ive been wasting my life hoping for a future that will never come??

Or something like that.

Just wondering if anyone named all of their chickens? I currently have 23 and they all have names.

My 7 chickens and 4 ducks all have names. I always name them no matter what.

Yes we name all our petstock..they supply eggs and we supply names....a win win

They are for eggs

Why does them being for eggs preclude a naming?

I name all of mine. My previous 12 had names and my 40 chicks + 2 geese have names.
Should I name my guineas too? I don’t want to get to attached because they will be free ranging. I do get very attached very easily and naming would make it worse.

Well I don't see chickens as pets, plus naming 45 identical brown hens has never gone particularly well.
Each to their own.

Well, my chickens are pets so yeah I do name them. All 10 have unique names. I can tell them apart easily
