Who started their seeds already

Still too early for me to start seeds for the most part, though I'm planning to plant beets next week and snap peas just after that. At least I have my seeds in hand (though I might make another order to get stuff that was out of stock) but I'm still awaiting shipment of 2 additional garden beds and a hoe, and need to decide on what soil to have brought in...

I just got some seeds started. Have lots more to go. Spring is coming....eventually!

I wish I'd already started! The last 2 years I've started in January using the mini green house milk bottle method with great success. No heating / lights / south facing window (I'm in a partially renovated barn so don't even have enough light for me let alone plants!) required. I'll try to find a link to it in the morning but must to bed now. This is on my to do list for this week need to get a start! Actually I lie I have started I bought a pack of a little mini planter, some dirt and some sunflower seeds and now have quite big sprouts coming up - it is set next to one of our heaters by a glazed door. Looks like I have at least 16 sunflower shoots coming up. Not sure what I'm supposed to do as my last frost is mid April so no idea how to keep them alive until they can go out (newbie gardener!).

I started some of mine on Feb 4th. Last year, mine didn't do so good, but this year they are doing much better. I used different potting soil and I got some LED grow lights.

I have Amish Paste, Brandywines and Yellow Pear tomatoes, Jimmy Nardello and Tangerine Dream peppers, kolhrabi & egg plant started.

My tomato plants are between 6 and 8 inches now!
:thumbsup Mine are still seeds in a packet for another few weeks.

Tomato plants grow very fast. I will run a fan on them daily to try to strengthen up the stems. Petting them helps to to stimulate a stronger stem too. Though when I plant they get buried up to their top leaves, with all lower leaves removed, and all that stem becomes root.

I've got snow peas, tatsoi, bok choi, kale, lettuce and swiss chard in a raised bed, and five kinds of sweet peppers and four kinds of hot peppers, lavender, three kinds of basil, orach, lupines, sweet alyssum, strawberries and naranjillas on lights indoors. I LOVE this time of year.
