I had no idea broody's did this. Why? Is it because they only leave the nest once in a 24 hour period, or is it something with the broody's body just being that way?

Today was her third day ,

right in front of my entrance to the coop, I think she has something against me or it's my flip flop. She said Here's your sign in a very crappy way !!!!!

Ewe, right, I have a question, when the chicks hatch....will she set on them and stay with them to keep the temperature how we'd do if we incubated? I"m making a "nursery" pen for her, have the brooder light and it all set up, now I'm wondering if she's going to be doing her mama duties, would the lamp be to much?

You do not need the heat lamp. The broody mama will keep the chicks warm.
