Whole oat fodder question, please help

Without knowing what has or has not been done to these oats makes it impossible for me to advise you. However if the oats still have the seed coat or 'hull' covering the grain then they will likely sprout and grow.

Try it, just a little. If they aren't rolled or something it might (should) work.

Oats are harder than other things like barley according to my research.

i got my oats to sprout..i set them on some wet coconut coir after soaking the oats about 6 hrs..covered til i saw some sprouting and now i have them out to get some sun
