Who's hatching around Jan 10? 1st try, Could use the "moral support!"

I have 42 eggs set for Jan. 10 also. 7 EE's of my own and 35 of my sons bantam eggs. I don't know what his birds are called as he got them free from someone that moved away. Maybe I can get some pics and put them up for help in identifying them.

I have 8 more due to hatch January 8th. I can't wait. I mean these three are THE CUTEST things I've ever seen. I got their water and food in there now, and they are lovin it!!!

I have 12 eggs set for the 9th and 30 for the 10th.
BO's, MF d'uccles, and frizzles,silkies and pekins from Dipsy Doodle.
The bo's got the head start.

Add another week for the 3 pekins

We just candled our eggs and saw 4 of them moving!

It's day 14 for this batch, only six developed out of 14. The P.O. lost them

We quickly shined the light into the second batch that are on day 7. It looks like most of them are developing!

I can't wait for hatching day!

I candle also! It looks like my one and only goose egg has quit

along with one or two of the pekin duck eggs. These eggs arrived with 3 broken eggs, so they had a rough ride. But on a lighter note, one of the two cayugas eggs that I thought was clear looks like it has veining!!

It is day 10 for the pekins, and day 8 for the cayugas.

Soooo... I know it was way, way, early (late day 4), BUT decided to candle yesterday. My 2 little girls (ages 4 & 7) know NOTHING about these eggs, they are a "Christmas Surprise" for later today, so I was hoping against hope to see SOME sort of developement in maybe just 1 or 2, so I can tell the girls that we have some sort of CHANCE at chicks!!

Anyway, did NOT expect any answers, BUT, happily saw definite developement in ALL 4 SILKIES

, and out of my 7 "mixes" so far 2 are "clear" looking, 1 is questionable & kinda porous, but 4 look good/developing! Also my single Serama egg def. looks good!!!!!!

I know it's WAY EARLY to get overly optimistic, but I am SO excited, and I will be able to tell my girls "so far, so good" about a LOT of them.

Seeing those lil' embryos last night was my little piece of Christmas Magic!!

I have three silkie eggs in the bator, they should hatch around January 7th. They are buff silkie x BLRW or Buff Silkie x Easter Egger. I don't know if they'll actually hatch though, cuz I forgot to add humidty twice, and didn't turn them for the first week. YET.....I candled hem yesterday and they al three are alive! Anyone every done that b4....Totally forgot you had your incubator up and running and then actually had chicks hatch?

I have a whole bunch of eggs in the incubator right now. January 10th is when the last three of over 100 eggs are going to come out of the incubators. Hang in with me until then. I have a bunch of eggs due over the next week.
