Well, I made it thru my surgery, even managed to turn eggs late Fri night in spite of an anesthesia hangover

. My little girls are SOOOO excited, they come in and SING to the eggies while I turn them, very cute. All 10 remaining eggs seem to be doing well, all moving... something else cute; they seem to get more active/jump around during candling when my girls sing/talk/chirp to them.. can they hear in the egg at day 15??

My 7 yr old is sure they CAN, so she gave me her little pink radio to play for them while she is at school & can't be around to sing to them "in person"

Shelley, I am really sorry about the bator quiting on you! That is aweful.
I have a staggered hatch coming. The first are my barnyard specails due on the 12th. Then I have showgirls, same as you and your mom Icedmocha. Then another batch of showgirls. The second batch was held up by UPS for 12 days so I am not expecting much there, but the next one will be better I am sure.
Good luck to all you hatching now! That sure is a beautiful new wet baby. I have NO idea what kind it is. Just cute.

Good luck on your eggs! My 4-year-old had a BTB jap pullet given to him. He always holds her and sings her to sleep. She does go to sleep to, which is weird, most of the other animals are scared to death of him!

Yeah for peeps! Good luck, I stopped turning today too. No peeps, but have some eggs rocking. Its going to be a long few days. I am going to try to stay away from the bator as much as possible. I really want these 12 silkies to hatch, or at least some of them.

I put in for a 4 day weekend so I wouldn't miss it. Now I may just make it a vacation week.
Should I keep the cartons tipped to the side? or put them flat?
