I did go down a little bit ago and made a hole in the membrane. The baby is alive and breathing but I didn't hear any chirping from it or any of the other 9 eggs. I know when DBF's runners were hatching they were loud! All I can do is wait now.

When can we move the runners outside? They'll be 3 weeks old this Thursday. It's still pretty cold here (lows in the 20's) but what about a pen in the garage/barn with a heat lamp? Still too early? They've outgrown their brooder and we're not sure what to do next.
 
Exactly. We even had a breaker trip during a night when it was 20º and the duck's heat lamp went off. I didn't discover this until morning, but my babies were fine. They were huddled together under their turkey feather duster (we call that the "babysitter")

Call ducks hatch on day 26. Usually they pip the shell on day 25, and hatch out on day 26.

I went in to check the temp we are haveing high winds and the lights keep flickering.
I thought i would just peek at a egg(i know it's wrong) But the first i candled showed no signs of life.
But when i put it back i accidently bumped the one next to it.
When it moved just a smidgen i saw the PIP!!!!

Oh please tell me in my haste to know something will it be okay???

OMG!!!!! I have a pip i feel like i have given birth myself i'm so excited!!!!!!
