oooh, very interesting. the two we have hatched right now one is just as quiet as quiet can be and the other one won't shut up! its very funny the loud follows the quiet one around peeping her fool head off! i imagine the quiet one trying to get away from her!

Im done with my call duck hatch. Out of 14 eggs, I got 12 call ducklings to hatch. I also just set 32 call duck eggs this morning.

I know this seems a silly quesion but I have never had ducklings before. What colour will the yellow duckings be? I thought they might be white are they yellow when they grow up?

I think it depends on the breed my rouens hatched yellow and brown and one was all yellow.

They are call ducks I bought them as hatching eggs off mixed colours

I've been trying to find out what humidity percentage to use in my incubator from day 1 to hatch. I don't want my goslings to drown in the air cell. What do you find is the ideal %?

I received 16 crested runner shipped eggs. Two did not develop, but so far today, on Day 24, we have nine babies, with others pipping. I am confident that they were bred non-crested to crested, but I am not getting many crests that I can readily discern. Supposed to be 50/50%, but I don't think I'm getting that high of a rate. There is one really cool blue one though.

AND...we also have our first home grown dewlap toulouse egg pipping. Gosh, I hope it hatches safely!!! I'm going to raise that baby in the house (she says until she smells that baby goose poop!)

We had 8 of our our runner ducks hatch three days ago, so we have two brooders of ducklings.

There are other goose eggs due to hatch but I don't have high hopes for them.

Hubby got me what he says is my LAST incubator this week. He thinks one cabinet and four styrofoams are just ENOUGH. I don't understand?
