I've got 2 Brahma crosses pipped, 1 Cuckoo Maran pipped, 1 EE pipped and my first EE/Frizzle has arrived........little thing was in a hurry. Went from pip to zip to out in less than 2 hours!

9 babies now! 2 cochin chicks and 7 silkie chicks. I have 4 more starting to zip. 7 more rocking up a storm but no pips yet!

I'm reading of all these babies hatching, and ours haven't yet! They are around day 23-24, but I think that since they haven't hatched yet, I may be wrong and they may be younger than that. I just estimated on how old they were by looking at the candling results, so I may be off by a few days.

I'm really starting to worry! The last time I candled the 4 eggs, the all had chicks moving around in them...most were almost completely dark, and they had lots of veins. I really want our broody hen to have a good experience with her first time attempting to hatch the eggs.

Congrats on all the hatches! I just hope ours go as well as yours.

I have RIR/P.Rock and EE's due to hatch the 16....this is my third batch and hope this one does better. I got 50% on the first 2 but got a new thermometer for this one and found that the other was off by 8 degrees...keeping fingers crossed!

I have 1 mercury Thermometer, one Amphibian Ergo meter and 2 different one from Walmart.
Better get more than 50% like my last one too.LOL

Tomorrow, placing anti slip mat in Bator and sponge. (that is new from last one). Will see

My turkey eggs are still going

and look good though one is several days ahead of the other two.

I hope the guineas will be kind to the first one out...
