Most of you are hatching on the 23rd & 24th! I think mine are hatching the 27th not sure...

Today im setting eggs in the bator. About 4-5 eggs that's all I have. They will be due the last day of the month (sep. 30th)

Are the 10 eggs that your bantam is sitting on Bantam eggs? I have a Bantam who sat on 5 RIR eggs and she had a problem keeping them all warm. She did a great job. I dropped one while attempting to candle them... and we had one dud... She abandoned the egg in the next and tended to her children. It never hatched. I do not mind staggering hatches in an incubator but it seems to risky under a hen. How would she be able to choose who to nurture. It seems like it would cause her unnecessary stress.

O yea I forgot to mention that my incubator goes on LOCKDOWN Saturday ... eggs will hatch late Tuesday and early Wednesday woo hoo! Sept 15th and 16th

She made her nest deep so all the eggs go to the bottom and then she sits on top of them that way she covers all of them. I'll try to take pics in a minute and I'll upload them to here.
