Who's Starting the 3-Day-Wait Today?

What makes this harder is I KNOW from the first disasterous hatch if I HAD intervened before I finally did a whole day later, I might have had more than one survive. I did save one when it was the last one cheeping... Two others had stopped...

So I hang between not waiting long enough and being too late...

I'm with you there walkswithdog. Are yours pipped? I have been trying to study that one I thought I heard tapping last night and I finally think I saw it move just the tiniest bit just a little while ago--so I think it must still be alive.

I'm a hatcher-in-training.

Mine are only on day 2 so I have a long way to go but I am reading along and making notes.

thanks for the lessons.

This is *exactly* the scenario I feared finding myself in the most. It's so so so hard to know. I will be learning through you as you go throughthis- here's hoping for great outcomes.

These are pullet eggs to top it off so small.

One is pipped, the other two just noisy. They have four more hours then I'm making a pip. Pullet eggs are notorious for needing help. At least I know how to go slowly with it.

I'll keep sitting here and try not to panic... much.

Oh fine like this wasn't hard enough... The second chick is backwards. The first hatched with only a small nudge from me! We're getting there, if slowly. Holding breath is going to start soon.

The first one was in there so tight it's no wonder his pip never went to zip.

Pullet eggs really are a tight fit.
