Who's Starting the 3-Day-Wait Today?

I went home and put my eggs in the LG - it was at 101.1 and I have to trust it. I cant stand the thought of Little Bantam Cochin Frizzles all dried out and stumbling around on an automatic egg turner in the Genesis.

Day 20 in my Little Giant Super Moody Incubator. I swear that thing has more mood swings than I do? Do they make replacement hormones for Incubators?

Please send positive vibes for my itty bitty eggies? I hope I didnt kill them moving them on day 20 to the hatcher with a bit more humidity and no turner in it (and hoping I dont fry them)....

(This is about my 12th hatch so I dont know why the past 2 have been so hard to control - I wonder if something is wrong with my thermostat or if it is just me?)

here i just put in 4 bantam favoroelles and i have 12 polish bantams on the way from Georgia that should be here tomorrow!

after my 2nd time hatching i'm a little scared i'll lose most of my hatch again. i couldn't get the humidity up in the bator so i took some advice i found to raise the humidity in the whole room. i set up a humidifyer and set it to high (probably should have put it on low and not next to the bator). it got the humidity up alright! it made the bator jump to 90% over night! i couldn't get the humidity back down to a reasonable number.

i will cross my fingers and anything else i can and hope this time will be much better. (need to keep it closed this time!)

good luck everyone on your upcoming hatches!

Just rearranged the inside of the Disco Bator and now the newly hatched are drying. The turkey eggs turned. The humidity back to normal and we're a go for the 28th...

I have to do this again in five days...

I finally have a pip--only it's made no progress and it's been several hours.

In my past hatches, I've either helped them zip or they've never managed to zip on their own, just died with their little beaks out but I'm blaming that on too low humidity. My humidity this time is reading in the low 70's but I am still really nervous. Do they sometimes pip, peep a lot and then get quiet and just sit there for a while?

I have others peeping but no more pips yet.

Walkswithdog, if you do help them, how do you do it without risking the other eggs when you open the bator and do you take the pipped egg completely out to work on it?

I'm gonna stop turning here in a few days!! I'm so excited. I even had duckies due on Easter!! Woooot. lol
