I have one styrofoam bator full of Duck eggs a friend gave me (42 eggs) due to hatch the first week of MAy. He call a few days ago and said he had more eggs and didn't want them to go to waste,I told him i didn't have room for them . His reply was no problem I just went by TSC and bought you a incubator , I'm on my way to your house now. he arrived with a little giant incubator still air, and3 dozen Jersy Giant eggs and 1 dozen Americana eggs, so now I have 2 full bators . (This is the lat time Iswear, unless i have a relly good hatch then just one more .LOL)

Oh sure, sure WE believe you. Don't we!

My incubator will be back to full again tonight. I just last weekend hatched out 22 Midget White turkeys and tonight I'll be putting in a setting of Standard Bronze turkey eggs to begin a breeder flock for poult sales next year.

But when those and the fifty five Midget White turkey eggs that have been in the box for the last ten days or so hatch that's going to be it for a while until I sell off the poults I already have on hand. I've got three brooders with chicks in them right now!

I'm at 3 brooders too A.T.! 1 for the chicks (silkies) that I have orders for. 1 for the Guineas (every hatch sold for the next month!) and 1 for some geese I just got. Gonna need another when the ducks hatch.....hopefully she picks up right away! LOL

I screwed up setting a batch of Guineas. A week after I set 40 eggs I realized I cant fit 40 eggs in the hatching basket! (the eggs will fit, the keets wont!)

I hate to switch them to the LG to hatch, but I might have to. Or fire up the new Brinsea just for that. I started setting every 30 eggs now.
Still learning.

Just starting out here....on my second hatch this year.

I have 41 in my LG. I had a really good hatch on the last one. I have moved it into the big bathroom with the 'inside' brooder that is full. The big brooder in the garage has been getting the larger of the chicks.....as I think they are ready to go.

LG is holding temps so much steadier in the big bathroom than it did in the other room. Temp in there stays pretty steady and no drafts. Plus, I have a make up stool in there to sit on to watch the brooder and watch the eggs turn.

Home alone for about six more weeks....I could possibly get another couple of hatches in.....DH will be home about the time he needs to start a couple more coops and runs!

AND.....figured out yesterday that I have my first broody. Kept thinking I was just catching that chicken on the nest everyday. Checked several times yesterday and then last night when I put the chickens to bed.....took the flash light out and sure enough...she was still in the nest and not on the roost. Wonder how many eggs she has under her....after all...that is THE nest everyone wants to use.

Looks like I am in good company.......

my dickey with three turning trays is full. It is not my fault I swear

everybody that has shipped to me has been too generous. I took 6 BLRW eggs in an egg chain. she sent 12 BLRW, 12 lf frizzle cochins , 3 sussex. another wonderful bycer sent me a dozen lt sussex along with the serama eggs I ordered

see not my fault. you all back me up on this 'cause hubby has been gone all week and is unaware of the maximum overload in the basement.

I highly recommend a Dickey to anybody interested in ACTUALLY HATCHING the eggs you put in. I have chicks coming out my ears.

If it weren't for a full incubator there would be no limiting factor.

Sportsman - Full

50+ Muscovy
36 Pheasant
24 Naragansett
The balance is Araucana, Wheaten Marans, A few silkies, a couple Ameraucanas, and some Mille Fleur D'Uccles.

The Roll-X nearly full - has Goose Eggs, some Pilgrim, Some Sebastopols, Some Buff American, with more Pilgrims on the way.

The LG got fired up due to overflow - Full - Buff, BBS, and White Silkies, and a group of 4 Khaki Campbells.

In the Staging Area - More Araucana, we are really going to try to build our Araucanas this year, Buff Silkies (we only have a pair), Wheaten Marans, and on, and on.

Brooders, hmmm,

3 Sebbies, 1 Pilgrim, a bunch of Wheaten Marans, a few Araucanas, a few Mille Fleurs, etc. We are just starting to hit our hatching stride, I will be setting up the large brooders this coming weekend, and there goes the feed bill.
