Why and what do you do when a cockerel turns agressive?

I have a cockerel for 2 months now and suddenly hes turned aggresive and trys to attack me. Why does this happen and what do i do about it?

What exactly do you mean by 'he's turned aggressive'?

He chases me whenever i enter the run and he jumps up at me and trys to scrape me with his claws

This may not work it's real hard to turn um "nice" when there turned aggressive but heres what I use.

i dont think i can get him nice again so what should i do with him? Should i give him away?

If you really think his behavior won't change, then I wouldn't pass on the problem to someone else. Some roosters will become dinner, it's better to eat the not so nice ones, so they leave a home for the ones that deserve it. At least that is how I see it.

I don't think it would be fair to give away an aggressive rooster unless someone specifically wants one. And even then, I would question their motives. Male chicks will happen in any form of breeding, and raising them in a kind environment is one way to treat them respectfully and cherish the meat that we eat.
But, in the end, it is your decision.

I know a place where people dump cocks and they r cared for, should i do that?

No. That’s an irresponsible thing to do, and not in the spirit of good animal stewardship.

If you can’t cull a nasty bird because you think it’s “mean” how can you think “dumping him” is an acceptable solution ?
