Why are eggs getting smaller?

I brooded out my chicks in early autumn so they would lay in the spring.
They were laying nice big brown eggs but I noticed in the last couple days the eggs are getting smaller.
When do chickens molt and does that cause smaller eggs? They are 9 months old now.

yes durign the molt they tend to have smaller eggs or no eggs at all..... also depending on weather it could have an effect on it

Thank you very much, I was trying to decide if I was crazy (thinking they were smaller--but they are!) or just doing something wrong.
