Why are my Chickens not laying eggs?

I have Lavender Opringtons, They have a large run as I live in the city they can't freerange., They get oyster shells, layer pellets, a feed formuated to egg laying, and grubs. Yes they are girls 100% certain of it.

What exactly is the 'feed formulated to egg laying'?

They were on starter for the first 4.5 months as chicks. We used was Manna Pro Chicken Starter same as the layer feed we are using now.

Do you have current pictures of your birds?

I used Mana Pro for years, and liked it. A couple years ago, my egg production began dropping off. I mentioned it at the feed store, to the owner. He suggested I change to Purina. He too had been using Mana Pro for years, and he too noticed a big drop in production. He said that when he switched over, his egg production went up significantly. Enough so that he wouldn't use Mana Pro anymore. I switched, and my egg production went back up too.

When you say you treat them regularly for mites and worms, treatment for those things are to be done on an as-needed basis. Is it possible you are using these products too often, without being needed?

Then I will change the feed then.

I was going based on package direction for the treatments for Mites and Lice it says every 2-4 months. And the worming treatment says to do it every three months.

Apparently my post pointing out how clean the chickens colons would be by de-worming them so often was inappropriate.

I find that interesting considering I was talking about a de-wormer, but whatever. I guess if you aren't flagging and taking down my posts you don't feel like a real moderator?

@eslyder92 try not giving them de-wormer and mite treatment for a while. Instead give them clean sand to take sand baths in, that's how they get rid of mites naturally. Then give them one of the two if you start getting eggs to narrow down the culprit if that worked and they start laying. (I mean, if you really want to give them that stuff that is)

I have a quick question. Its my first time raising chickens so maybe I am doing something wrong.

My hens are going on 2 years old and I still have not had them lay one egg. They have access to grit and oyster shells as well as being on a diet that is suppose to aid in egg laying but I still have no eggs. My Buff Orpington was in the nesting box yesterday acting broody but there was no egg under her. What am I doing wrong?

I'm stumped. Are you sure you have hens? Are you sure they're not hiding them? I used to find eggs in the goat's hay

That's why I mentioned a vet, the only thing off seems to be all this de-worming going on for some reason.

I am 100% sure they are hens. lol I can't imagine where they would hide them see that they are not free range. They have a nice size run but not so big that I can't see every inch of it.

Thank you. I think this was the most helpful advice. That and the person who suggested trying a different diet.
