Should we remove the rooster? We just put him in with the girls last night. Would another rooster be recommended?I wouldn’t really do that tbh, the rooster or hen could get seriously hurt. It’s your decision though!

Did you see my other post? Here ill find it for you.Should we remove the rooster? We just put him in with the girls last night. Would another rooster be recommended?
If you want them to stop attacking him then take a crate and leave him in it in the coop with them for an hour a day then put him in his own area. Keep doing this for a little while and eventually start letting him walk around with him under your supervision. Do that for 3 days, then let him stay overnight and see how that goes
lol okayHere's what I observed with my Cockerel at the time when the lead hen challenged him. They fought for 2 minutes through out the day, that lasted for 2 months cause his hormones was kicking in. The first couple of weeks in the 3rd month, he finally knocked her high horse with 1 last battle for dominance they both got hurt but fixable. She got knocked down so hard that she ended up being at the bottom of the pecking order. It took her about 3 months to be back on top and roosters favorite hen. Go figure. Lol.
thank youDid you see my other post? Here ill find it for you.
That's what we did. When you introduce chickens, you can't just throw them in together and expect them to get along. You should always set them up where they share a portion of fence. Keep them side-by-side for a few weeks where they can look, chat, interact, but not touch.
Then try putting them together. There will always be some chasing/pecking/sparring when adding new chickens. That's how they establish their pecking order. However, once that settles, there should be no more harassing. It may take several attempts before they're all okay together.
You did right then. Maybe separate them and try again in another week. That's what we did.
Nope.
Just throw them together and let them work it out.
They're gonna squabble either way.
There was blood on one of our hen's comb and on the feeder. You shouldn’t really do that. The rooster or hens could get hurt
I'm not sure, I think they are going to fight either way.You did right then. Maybe separate them and try again in another week.
