My customers always bring back their cartons and I have friends save them from their store bought eggs ::shudder::. Every once in a while they'll bring me a cardboard one. I just smile, say thank you, and then throw it out. I want to be like "um how am I supposed to wash this to reuse it?!" But I'd rather they just give me what they have. If its in bad condition I chuck it. I have a 3 foot high stack that I doubt I'll ever go through with me measly 8 birds.
I make sure I sneak by and pay for my own before they get the chance once in a while, or else those would end up being really pricey eggs.

... managed to not die! Nowadays I usually eat them soft poached, so the whites start to set but the yolks can sometimes still be cool in the center. So far so good! I figure a steady diet of spicy food helps to kill anything bad I ingest.
. And the reply I got was "oh we give them out to our friends"
. SO the free egg train is OVER people. And why, why don't people return cartons, I also stamp them and will be adding a carton fee if it continues. Its a lot of work to just hand them out, and don't get me started on my garden. What are people thinking I am growing to hand it out. That's a lot of time and sweat for you to eat for free.
SMH ,think people.
(I think this is what we call a symbiotic ecosystem. Between us, no egg dish will go to waste, eh.)
