Why did i let my broody bantam frizzle hatch in the winter?

Throughout her whole brooding I've been putting her outside with the flock daily for a while to eat/drink/poo. The flock has been quite good with her. Hoping that helped avoid any reintegration issues. They're all fairly docile bantams.

You didn't need to bring her in to start with. Now you have to go through the whole reintegration drama. Your temps are fine. The momma is more than capable of keeping the chicks warm.
I agree with junebuggena on this. I have broodies, not planned, that may be hatching eggs. It's supposed to be -19 C here tonight (-2F) and I'm not bringing anyone in. If they hatch chicks, the chicks are being raised in the coop. And it's only going to get colder. I expect them to be perfectly fine. :)

Before i built my new coop where they could stay in there while hatching their own babies i had them in sog crates away(still outside) from the flock and have never had any issues with them rejoining the flock... or any problems with the babies(even though there were 55 chickens)
They all were great even the Roos!.
I think it just may depend on the flock?
