Why do so many of you (us) want roosters?

I love how they crow! I love how they take care of their ladies! I LOVE the way they look! and I LOVE LOVE LOVE baby chickies!

I only ordered hens and guess what?.....................I have a rooster. At first I panicked but then decided to warn my neighbors. The first time the crowing bothers someone he is gone. I have a farm I can take him to. I would like to keep him because of all the threads I've read on hatching eggs. I would love to do that.

I played rooster survivor, and ended up with 4 keepers. The rest were rehomed. I have 2 silkie males and 1 female together and they are fine. I have 8 other hens and 2 roo brothers, and they are fine, cept one is the bottom rung, and gets chased alot.
I think it depends on the roos. If one continues to back down or run, and the other is a bit tolerant, it's fine.
