Why do you have Chickens??

I've always been a "bird" person.

I started feeding wild birds (asked for a bid feeder for Christmas when I was 7) got older and had canaries, doves and finches, always wanted chickens - never paid any attention to the ones when I was a little kid on the farm, but I wanted them later anyway. Finally moved out where I could have them.

I keep chickens for eggs, meat, selling chicks, and just to have someone to chat with when I go outside. A few of them will actually come up onto the porch if I don't bring treats immediately.

Hubby didn't want to bother with them - he "let" me have them. It's been two years, and he has built me four coops, bought me three incubators, and now talks to my chickens when he goes outside. He even stops to pet his favorites. He has been assimilated

I recently branched out into ducks and geese (for which hubby built me a waterfowl pen).

Hubby is wondering what is next
