Why Does My Duck Do This?

My duck follows me around the yard and she also runs to me when she sees me, or if I call her, but she never lets me pet her. I have to chase her a little. I think she likes me, I mean she does follow me, but why don't she let me pet her?

She is timid... She doesn't want her wings grabbed. But, she likes you! A lot of duck/chicken keepers pray that their poultry would follow them!
