Why does my female Pekin do this sideways head bobbing thing?

My Pekin is a big fat healthy duck. She will do this semi quack sound, kind of like a "mah" sound and quickly bob her head up and down sideways. Her and the other female do it actually. I only see her do it when I am standing there talking to them. Sometimes she will do it and then bite the large goose's butt!

What does this mean? Is she complaining or happy or just being loud?

its duck duck behavior....it get the male quacking too and then you can only imagine were it goes from there

Oh geez. I am not sure how our babies would look, haha!
I guess they all get pretty excited when "big momma" comes out to see them and feed them. My geese do not do this, could it be they are both males? The ducks are easily sexed by their quack or lack there of. I have a duck ratio of 2 males to 2 females.

Good to know that my ducks are just being ducks!

With our Pekins. WE BELIEVE THAT TRIX "the 'lil hoochie mama" is bit__ing at the boyz or complaining to her sister Bella:lol:
