I have a 3 year old barred rock. I was planning on entering her in the county fair next year. She has all the required aspects of a show quality bird but one problem, white-grey legs! Is this a problem and will she get disqualified?

The standard says that they should have yellow legs with no black shading, but I don't know why mine has white legs, does it still count?

Glad that you brought up this question, and I hope that someone will provide a good answer for you.

Both my BPR do not have yellow legs or beaks. Beaks are almost ivory with black on, and leggs are probably the same as yours --- very light and definitely not yellow. Hope someone here knows the answer.

Hens that lay eggs quite often will have pale yellow legs. Add corn or grass clippings to your birds diet and see if her legs yellow. I do believe the white legs would be a disqualification.

Did she ever have yellow legs? If you got her from a hatchery, chances are she could be a Cuckoo Marans. A picture of her legs and her barring pattern would help.
