Why Have Adverts Suddenly Started Popping UP?

Ah, I thought you meant pc. On my pc I have adblockplus so I don't normally see ads so I thought maybe I was missing something there. I just checked on my phone and I get them too, I can't say that I noticed them before. I installed the app and I'm getting them there too. Actually, the ads in the app are worse than just going to the website via my browser so I'm just going to delete the app. I know ads are how websites generate revenue to keep operating, but it'd be nice if they went away automatically after a couple seconds. It's a pain to try to tap on that tiny X in the corner and not accidentally tap on the ad, or tap on a link behind the X.

Please please please turn off the pop ups, not since AOL and dial up have I had to deal with these kind of intrusive ads.

Make premium membership cheaper and you may get more... IDK what the solution is but pop ups are just rude.

I agree with all of the above. If these pop ups continue, I will be taking a vacation from BYC for a while. They are more annoying than I am willing to deal with.

Just posting so BYC can have feedback, and to keep this thread at the forefront. I hope a satisfactory compromise can be reached between the need for advertising and the need for a pleasant forum experience.

Same here with reading and posting. While trying to post you can't read what you are typing. So I hit the back button and the ad went away. At least for me.

They are horrible and intrusive, reminds me of the early days with AOL and dial up. Please please please BYC turn them off.
