I think the RIR needs to be chicken dinner. Rhode Island Red is a very common breed and some varieties are industrial. In this case, I would select in favor of the less-common breeds.Okay so I’m adding to this because if this ever happens to someone else, they’ll know. I have 3 “kings” (roosters), and it turns out they each have a favorite hen- so there are 3 queens. They 3 kings all just started puberty within the past couple of months. The bantam has accepted hes too tiny to fight for the “king of all kings” status. The RIR & AC however are still in their battle for “king of kings.” Bantam chose his queen to be the only gal his size- a Japanese bantam. The RIR chose the light Brahma. And the AC chose the “sexy olive” as his queen. So these 2 boys have started fighting over these 2 ladies as a way of winning the title. It all started with Sexy Olive but now they’re fight over the other 2 queens too. King who wins all 3 queens becomes “king of all kings.” I wonder how it’ll end up because all 3 queens seem perfectly happy with the guy they chose. They 3 couples even snuggle each other at bedtime.
Well it’s obvious! She is a natural beauty!I ask this because apparently all the guys think so. I bought 7 babies 5 months ago and they’re all pullets. “Olive” is my adorable olive egger and a part of this batch being 5 months old. My 3 roosters are all very attracted to her. 2 of them are at her side all day, everyday. It started about 2 weeks ago. I thought, “Is it because she’s gonna start laying any day now?” But there are 6 other pullets ready to lay, or have started laying and they sure don’t follow them around all day. I’m dying of curiosity. What makes Olive here so sexy?
